Spurs, Liverpool crave for glory
Tottenham Hotspur will entertain high-rising Liverpool on Sunday at White Hart Lane in an encounter that shall test the resolve and determination of both teams in their quest for glory in the EPL.
Liverpool under the guidance of manager Roy Hodgson has been recovering from their early season disappointments and are now fast catching up with the big guns atop the Premier League standings.
The Reds started off their season disastrously, matching their 1953/54 season start with minimum points from a number of games. However they have since turn the tide and produced a couple of healthy results such as the 2-0 win against league leaders Chelsea and recently the 3-0 crushing of West Ham.
Currently in 9th place, they are just three points short of fifth place Bolton and six points adrift of moneybags Manchester City in fourth.,
According to Liverpool's fullback Glen Johnson, he believes that The Reds has the ability to finish fourth this season, the target set by the club at the start of the campaign.
"We are slowly reaching the top and we are to maintain this kind of performance week in week out, it is not impossible for us to reach our goal. The win against Spurs could also bring us there (fourth place)," Johnson said.
